PIRAEUS MEDICAL ANNOUNCES the US LAUNCH and FIRST CASES of the 6F 70 NeuGlide CATHETER, FOLLOWING FDA CLEARANCE

The 6F 70 NeuGlide expands Piraeus Medical’s growing neurointerventional access portfolio, joining the 7F 87 NeuGlide+™ and 8F 93 NeuFlex™ Catheters.

MAPLE GROVE, MN, UNITED STATES, September 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Piraeus Medical is excited to announce the U.S. launch and first clinical cases of the 6F 70 NeuGlide Catheter, following FDA clearance.

The 6F 70 NeuGlide expands Piraeus Medical’s growing neurointerventional access portfolio, joining the 7F 87 NeuGlide+™ and 8F 93 NeuFlex™ Catheters.

Three catheter platforms. 6F, 7F, and 8F access. One distinct approach to catheter design.

Built on Piraeus Medical’s patented linerless catheter construction, the 6F 70 NeuGlide is engineered to optimize inner diameter relative to outer diameter while combining distal flexibility with proximal support.

The addition of the 6F 70 NeuGlide represents another step in Piraeus Medical’s mission to rethink neurovascular access and give physicians new tools for navigating increasingly complex procedures.

Following one of the first U.S. cases with the 6F 70 NeuGlide, Dr. Brinjikji shared:

“It was an honor to perform the first-in-human case with the new 6F NeuGlide from Piraeus. I haven’t seen anything like it, the proximal support and distal flexibility of the catheter allowed us to achieve the distal positioning necessary to successfully take down a complex dAVF, all through 6F access.”
