County hosts free tire disposal and pet vaccine event in Chaparral
Doña Ana County will host a free tire disposal and pet vaccine event Saturday, Aug. 29 at the Betty McKnight Community Center, 190 S. County Line Drive in Chaparral.
Chaparral residents can bring unwanted passenger vehicle tires from 8 a.m. to noon for proper disposal at no cost. Semi and tractor tires will not be accepted.
Doña Ana County Animal Control will also offer pet vaccines at the same location from 8 to 11:45 a.m. Dogs must be brought on a leash, and cats must be brought in a carrier. Pets must be healthy and at least 3 months old to receive a rabies vaccine.
