Imprivata and SecMaker deliver secure access to clinical applications for healthcare providers in Sweden and Nordics

Authentication ecosystem combats phishing attacks and safeguards against unauthorized access to patient records and other sensitive information

This strategic partnership with SecMaker in Sweden and the Nordics enables us to address the critical compliance and security challenges of healthcare organisations in the region.”

— Adam Bangle, VP International Sales, Imprivata

LONDON, UK, May 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Imprivata®, the healthcare IT security company and SecMaker, today announced a strategic technology and reselling partnership to enable healthcare providers in Sweden and the Nordics to swiftly, securely and conveniently access clinical applications and patient information via smartcard based technology. The combined solution, which uses two-factor authentication to increase IT security, addresses the challenges of mobility by providing a safe and secure environment for medical professionals to access and communicate sensitive patient data.

Imprivata OneSign® and SecMaker Net iD Enterprise together enable fast, secure access to desktops and clinical applications. Using robust security methods underpinned by industry standard digital certificate technology, the solution delivers secure and convenient two-factor authentication for all healthcare employees at their workstation and for those who require remote network access.

Healthcare organisations across the globe have experienced large-scale, high-profile cyber attacks, many of which apply phishing and similar highly targeted, social engineering techniques to gain network access. The combined solution of Imprivata OneSign® and SecMaker Net iD Enterprise safeguards against attacks by enabling robust authentication for all system users, including clinicians, administrative staff and contractors.

By combining fast, secure login capabilities with an optimised end-user experience, clinicians and other system users achieve an optimum performance from their applications and desktop, irrespective of where they are accessing their applications and patient data.

Niklas Anderson, CEO, SecMaker AB commented; “This strategic technology and reselling partnership with Imprivata delivers a joint solution that simplifies and accelerates access to applications and patient data, while protecting against unauthorised access to sensitive information. This is vital in healthcare settings where delays in accessing accurate data can impede patient outcomes.”

An increasing concern for healthcare organisations is legacy platforms that do not have the infrastructure to support secure login with digital certificates and smartcards. Imprivata OneSign® addresses this challenge with leading authentication and single sign-on solutions, which are currently used by more than 5 million licensed users globally.

Adam Bangle, VP of International Sales at Imprivata explained; “Increasingly, IT systems are underpinning the delivery of excellent patient care and healthcare organisations are reliant upon a secure IT infrastructure to support their staff. In addition, all organisations will be subject to the stringent requirements of GDPR, which requires careful management of personal data. This strategic partnership which encompasses technology and reselling with SecMaker in Sweden and the Nordics enables us to address the critical compliance and security challenges of healthcare organisations in the region.”

Dr. Kathy Calabrese PhD of Brain-Body Health Technology Institute to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

BUFFALO, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, May 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Dr. Kathy Calabrese PhD is the founder of Brain-Body Health Technology Institute, where she combines her 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist with the healing power of neurofeedback.

“Change is hard,” says Dr. Calabrese. “When I was introduced to neurofeedback, it was like a light bulb went on in my head. The only thing I care about is that it works, and it works for a wide range of symptoms.

In order for a system to function as designed, it must be in balance, homeostasis. Neurofeedback is simply a supportive element for the brain.

It's so powerful, yet it's so simple and so incredibly gentle. And that's the most important thing. We don't need to overwhelm the brain any more than we already have. We need to support it and help it do what it knows how to do better than anything else in the world.”

The brain operates on two systems: neuro-chemical and neuro-electrical. Neurofeedback speaks the neuro-electrical language of the brain in a way that it recognizes and understands, allowing new input to release the stuckness that has created the pattern or symptom.

Still, Dr. Calabrese says, the only measure of a client's experience that will predict the positive outcome of therapy is empathy.

“We are your partner from here to better. That is what I establish with my clients, a partnership, and the only thing I want for them is to feel better,” says Dr. Calabrese. “I'm grateful to every single person who chooses to contact me and who has the courage to being working with me. People place their trust in me and I take that very seriously. I have deep respect and regard for my people.”

CUTV News Radio will feature Dr. Kathy Calabrese in an interview with Jim Masters on May 3rd at 3pm EDT.

Peggy Lindsey to be Featured on CUTV News Radio

HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE, ARKANSAS, UNITED STATES, May 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — We all desire to have lives filled with happiness, peace, and contentment, and we spend much of our existence furtively searching for answers. But with the right expertise and guidance, we can discover we have the capability to access that happiness, and it is much closer than we could have ever imagined.

Peggy, who owns On Angels’ Wings Healing and Coaching, is a professional life coach, a passionate energy healer and teacher, an angel intuitive, and a mentor.

“My passion and purpose is to graciously help others on their life’s path,” says Peggy. “My personal vision is to be a Pillar of Light who illuminates people’s journey in discovering their true selves, their talents and their purpose so they may be empowered to live more joyfully and consciously.”

According to Peggy we have three experiences that are our birthright: joy, freedom, and growth. By skillfully navigating clients, she encourages them to explore the guidance from within so they can willingly evolve and enrich their lives. Clients soul search and find their answers by asking themselves, “What do I want, why do I want it, and how do I want to feel?”

“I want to help my clients reclaim their own personal power,” says Peggy. “People inadvertently carry around their limiting thoughts and beliefs, and by soothing their emotions they can open up to understanding their powerful, authentic selves.”

According to Peggy, we already possess everything within us to make life magnificent. It’s her endeavor to help people recognize that in themselves and manifest it. The key is not to focus on the problems of life, but on the desires they aspire to achieve in their lives.

Arcing Light Energy is Peggy’s healing modality, and she describes it as being divine feminine energy that is an extremely high vibrational, loving force that is powerful, yet gentle, bringing calmness and wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.

“Being a nurturing energy, Arcing Light works on all aspects of the emotions related to fear, anger, depression, and other problems that are often deeply buried. It immediately addresses the root core of any imbalance – physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual,” says Peggy. “We are consciously uniting with our Souls – the highest and best of who we are – which brings us into love, joy, and peace, and offers incredible feelings of calmness and freedom from pain.”

Although Arcing Light has amazing effects on many debilitating diseases such as high blood pressure, mobility issues, chronic pain, stress, fatigue, nervousness, and sleep disorders, this beautiful energy also assists individuals in opening up to their unique, spiritual path.

“It is absolutely essential people recognize they are beautiful, wondrous beings,” says Peggy. “Each of us has a unique purpose, and it is necessary to help one another heal and grow. When we can understand that our lives were always meant to be loving, joyful, and happy, we can deliberately choose to create that wonderful life for ourselves.”

MSU, a patient-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, commemorates Myositis Awareness month with the 2018 theme, “Myositis In Focus”

Great strides have been made that should remind us all that while we may feel that very little is being done for us, there truly are many things in the works that deserve our appreciation.”

— Jerry Williams

LINCOLN, DE, UNITED STATES, May 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — Myositis Support and Understanding Association, an all volunteer, patient-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, commemorates National Myositis Awareness month with the 2018 theme, “Myositis In Focus.”

In observance of Myositis Awareness Month during the month of May, Myositis Support and Understanding Association (MSU) has announced its 2018 theme, “Myositis In Focus.” Focusing on the realities of Myositis (Inflammatory Myopathies) will promote better understanding of the variables that patients face, along with the difficulties of diagnosing and treating these rare autoimmune diseases affecting the muscle, skin, and lungs.

There is no “typical” Myositis patient. Some must use assistive devices for mobility like canes, walkers, wheelchairs, or power chairs. Some are covered with itchy-to-painful skin rashes, some have chronic muscle pain, some wear oxygen, some have feeding tubes and other medical devices. Some look perfectly healthy to the eye. The invisible illness part of Myositis makes it a difficult-to-understand disease, even for those in a patient’s life.

Myositis is estimated to affect 50-75K people in the U.S. and is one of the rarest of the 80 autoimmune diseases. On average, it takes 3.5 years to accurately diagnose. Factors creating this delay include a lack of typical diagnostic tools and findings as well as the rarity of the disease.

The need for further education at all levels, increased awareness, and better understanding is vital and is a part of what MSU is offering during Myositis Awareness Month. Through outreach, education, and fundraising, we can make myositis a better known disease.

Using the live online video education session platform that is unique to MSU, several Myositis experts have agreed to host sessions on topics surrounding Polymyositis, Inclusion Body Myositis, and Dermatomyositis. Additional sessions led by patients, nurses, and caregivers will focus on informative support.

As a part of our commitment to patients, and in partnership with several caring sponsors committed to the Myositis community, MSU will be hosting "Myositis In Focus: A Day of Remembrance" on Sunday, May 20, 2018, beginning at 2 PM EDT. This will be a live streaming YouTube video event to honor and remember those we have lost. If you or someone you know has lost a loved one to Myositis, MSU is asking you to please consider sharing their name and some brief information to be included in this event. Names can be shared online at https://UnderstandingMyositis.org/in-memory.

MSU has made it easy for everyone interested to get involved in Awareness Month. To view all materials, events, and suggested ways to make an impact, visit the Awareness page of the MSU website at https://UnderstandingMyositis.org/awareness

MSU invites everyone to start promoting awareness today and throughout the Month of May.

New York Corporate Whistleblower Center Now Urges MDs or Employees with Proof a Hospice Provider Is Billing Medicare For People in New York Who Are Not Dying to Call About Potential Rewards

If you know about a hospice provider anywhere in New York State that is billing Medicare for patients who are not dying, please call us at 866-714-6466. The whistleblower rewards can be substantial.”

— New York Corporate Whistleblower Center

WASHINGTON, DC, USA, May 1, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — According to the New York Corporate Whistleblower Center, "In our opinion one of the easiest types of whistleblower rewards for an individual involves a hospice company billing Medicare for end of life medical services for people who are not dying. If you are a medical doctor or an employee of a firm that is providing hospice services and you can prove the healthcare company is billing Medicare for patients who are not dying the rewards can be significant, and we would like to talk to you anytime at 866-714-6466.

"Some of the highest Medicare payments relate to individuals receiving end of life-hospice care. If you possess proof of a healthcare company in New York is gouging Medicare with bills for end of life care for people who are not dying, please call us anytime." http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

On October 30th, 2017, the Department of Justice announced that one of the nation's largest hospice providers has agreed to pay $75 million to resolve a government lawsuit alleging that defendants violated the False Claims Act (FCA) by submitting false claims for hospice services to Medicare. The settlement resolves allegations that between 2002 and 2013 the hospice provider knowingly submitted or caused to be submitted false claims to Medicare for services to hospice patients who were not terminally ill. While the whistleblower reward has not yet been announced it is anticipated to be in the millions of dollars.

The New York Corporate Whistleblower Center, "We believe there are probably more than a few rouge hospice providers in New York State. New York State has a population of nearly 20 million people. Because Medicare payments for hospice services are so significant we suppose some healthcare companies feel like it is worth the gamble to recruit patients who are not dying.

“If you know about a hospice provider anywhere in New York State that is billing Medicare for patients who are not dying, please call us at 866-714-6466. The whistleblower rewards can be substantial for this type of information as we would like to discuss. Why sit on a potentially winning lotto ticket without ever knowing what it might have been worth?" http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Simple rules for a whistleblower from the Corporate Whistleblower Center: Do not go to the government first if you are a potential whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing. The Corporate Whistleblower Center says, “Major whistleblowers frequently go to the government thinking they will help. It’s a huge mistake. Do not go to the news media with your whistleblower information. Public revelation of a whistleblower’s information could destroy any prospect for a reward. Do not try to force a company/employer or individual to come clean about significant Medicare fraud, overbilling the federal government for services never rendered, multi-million-dollar state or federal tax evasion, or a New York based company falsely claiming to be a minority owned business to get preferential treatment on federal or state projects. Come to us first, tell us what type of information you have, and if we think it’s sufficient, we will help you with a focus on you getting rewarded.” http://CorporateWhistleblower.Com

Unlike any group in the US the Corporate Whistleblower Center can assist a potential whistleblower with packaging or building out their information to potentially increase the reward potential. They will also provide the whistleblower with access to some of the most skilled whistleblower attorneys in the nation. For more information a possible whistleblower with substantial proof of wrongdoing anywhere in New York State can contact the Whistleblower Center at 866-714-6466 or contact them via their website at http://NewYork.CorporateWhistleBlower.Com.
